Nowa Ruda is a city where 25 thousand inhabitants live and it is beautifully located in Kłodzko poviat, in Dolnośląskie province (voivodeship). It is situated between Kamienne Mountains and Sowie Mountains, in the valley of the Włodzica River, on the way Wałbrzych-Kłodzko, only 14 kilometres from the way  Wrocław-Prague.

The fact that Nowa Ruda is located in the centre of Nowa Ruda and Radków microregion is the reason why the city fulfills not only trade, service, cultural and recreational (sports centre with a swimming pool) functions but is also a perfect base for trips when one can see tourist attractions in Stołowe Mountains, Sowie Mountains, Kamienne Mountains and the whole Kłodzko District.
